CREST successfully organised the iESG Sustainability Awareness & Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Inventory Reporting Workshop for the Electrical & Electronics and Semiconductor sectors on 2 October 2025 at Amari SPICE Penang.

Dr. Sideq Salleh delivered a plenary speech at ICoSeMT 2025, hosted by Universiti Sains Malaysia INOR in Penang, showcasing how industry–academia–government collaboration is driving Malaysia’s semiconductor future.
At CREST, we are proud to enable this ecosystem — uniting universities, industry leaders, and government to accelerate advanced R&D and innovation.
A flagship example is the CREST GaN Programme with Nobel Laureate Prof. Shuji Nakamura from UC Santa Barbara. With support from Malaysian academia, industry, and government incentives, the programme has:
