Discover our CREST R&D Grant, a twice-yearly window for innovation. Join us to shape the future, attend our Briefing sessions, and embrace transformative opportunities.
CREST R&D Grant accepts applications twice a year, typically in January and July. Although it takes only around one month to evaluate the submitted applications, the entire application process takes longer. The applicant is expected to carry out preparatory work which can take substantial amount of time prior to submitting the application. Once the application is successful, the applicant is also expected to complete paperwork before funding can be disbursed.
Prospective applicants are invited to attend the CREST R&D Grant Briefing session at selected locations. Admission is FREE. Ask about grant briefing session and RSVP to tazura@crest.my or atikah@crest.my.

Initiating and planning research work are the two most critical phases throughout the entire research project life cycle. CREST R&D Grant application is unlikely to be successful without undertaking considerable preparatory work which takes place prior to application submission. Research Project Life Cycle document can be used to set common expectation between academia and industry, and to outline general sequence of activities and milestones throughout the research life cycle.
