Abstract:

The present invention relates to a UAV path optimization system 1 including a processor-based controller unit 2 in operative communication with one or more sensors 4 adapted to acquire UAV data and UAV environment data, a transceiver 6 in operative communication with the controller unit 2, a server 8 implemented by means of one or more processor, the server being in communication with the transceiver 6 and the controller unit 2, and machine-readable instructions for the controller unit 2, the instructions being adapted to determine an optimal UAV flight path, the instructions including: determining a UAV flight path start 12 and end point 14, determining one or more locations of one or more terrestrial transceivers 16, determining one or more locations of one or more obstacles 18, calculating the optimal UAV flight path, and generating one or more waypoints 26 along the UAV flight path.
