MOCVD Engineer

Job Description

This is an executive level engineer responsible for development of MOCVD processes and layer structures. Responsible to work hand-in-hand with researchers to develop recipes, towards achieving better performance, uniformity and yield. Required to maintain and improve research equipment which includes MOCVD, vacuum systems, gas systems, fabrication and characterization tools. The engineer is also expected to support CREST on monitoring and improving uptime of systems and coordinating R&D activities and resources.

Basic Requirements

  • Experience working within industry-academia partnership will be an added advantage
  • Direct experience in MOCVD (Metal Organic Chemical Vapor Deposition), CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition) or Semiconductor Vacuum Equipment
  • 3-5 years’ experience in semiconductor material systems and/or thin-film technologies
  • MSc or PhD in Physics or Material Sciences with clean room experience
  • Knowledge of Thin Film analytical techniques
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge in statistical process methodologies is an added advantage
  • Willing to travel between Kuala Lumpur and Penang depending on needs
  • Experience in process engineering is an added advantage
